Counterflow
Film Fill Tower
The
Counterflow film fill cooling tower is the design most frequently specified
by purchasers. Lower capital cost, generally lower evaluated operating
cost, the Counterflow film fill tower uses high efficiency PVC film
fill. Intended for industrial applications where water quality is controlled,
the Counterflow film fill tower provides a low profile robust design,
ease of maintenance for long life and ease of operation for minimal
operator attention.

Counterflow
Splash Fill Tower
The
Counterflow splash fill cooling tower is the predecessor to the Counterflow
film fill cooling tower. Proven with over 50 years of service, the Counterflow
splash fill cooling tower is best suited for industrial applications
where water quality is not controlled. A robust structure, minimal air
inlet height and forgiving splash cooling technology provides for ease
of operation and long life.

Crossflow
Splash Fill Tower
The
crossflow splash fill cooling tower utilizes open pan hot water distribution
and crosscurrent air / water contact. Like the counterflow splash fill
tower, this is best suited for applications where water quality is not
controlled. Generally rated as higher capital and operating cost, this
selection is best suited for special applications.

Factory
Assembled Tower
Intended
for lower flow rates, the packaged cooling tower is factory assembled,
complete with self-contained cold-water basin for quick turnaround and
ease of installation in industrial and commercial applications. This
competitively priced line is fiberglass and stainless steel construction
utilizing high efficiency PVC film fill.
Available
in standard design capacities.

Upgrade
Existing Counterflow Tower
Expansions,
debottlenecking or increased demand for cooling requires more from your
cooling tower. The easiest of tower designs to upgrade, counterflow
towers can generally accept additional cooling capacity. Addition of
high efficiency fills and drift eliminators, modern mechanical equipment
and improved water distribution can individually or collectively provide
the solution you require.

Existing Crossflow Tower
Expansions,
de-bottlenecking or increased demand for cooling requires more from
your cooling tower. Although upgrade may not be as cost effective as
the counterflow design, improvements are possible. Fill replacement,
addition of high efficiency film fill, drift eliminator replacement
and mechanical upgrade are all available for consideration.

Drift
Eliminator Replacement
Conserving water, reducing chemical consumption and controlling damaging drift, all while minimizing static resistance is the challenge for your drift eliminators. Older style drift eliminators can easily be upgraded with state of the art high efficiency drift eliminators providing maximum drift removal rates and minimal static resistance. Improved methods and materials in supporting and sealing the drift eliminators around structural members further enhance the installation.

Casing
Opaque fiberglass sheathing remains the material of choice for the exterior walls. Impervious to biochemical attack, a leading cause of deterioration in older wooden components, fiberglass walls can be specified in a wide variety of profiles and thickness to suit your specific requirements.

Distribution Systems
Ecodyne thermal and water distribution components are not general purpose, dual use, off the shelf items adapted for cooling towers. Our spray nozzles are designed specifically for cooling towers and the types of fills used in these towers. Of greatest importance is matching the required spray nozzles with the fill to ensure optimum water distribution and maximum efficiency.
